It's risky, because every JEE Main session draws on the full syllabus. Master the high-weightage chapters first, since they move your rank the most. For low-weightage chapters, learn enough to handle their easier questions, and don't leave any chapter completely untouched. Use weightage to decide where your hours go, not which chapters to drop.
Mathematics has 12 of its 14, Physics has 9 of its 20 and Chemistry has 9 of its 20. A subject with fewer chapters overall can still place many in the list, because each chapter is ranked by its share of its own subject.
14 of the top 30 chapters are Class 11 and 16 are Class 12. Class 11 chapters deserve about as much of your study time as Class 12 ones.
